A program worth while seeing, A Universal Affair is a cultural exchange music program between American and International artists.
Five extraordinary musicians-Ensembles from Germany, Slovenia, Austria and the U.S. will be featured:

Duo Mento,Steven and Loretta Mento, well known duo piano siblings from the US, return again to Carnegie Hall performing four hand music repertoire from Mozart and Debussy;

Classic and Crossover duo inovators, Michael and Christina Schutz from Germany will perform all original works. Michael Schutz is a well known composer, arranger, pianist and producer whose original works have been featured in numerous live concerts and TV appearances in Europe. His wife, Christina Schutz, equally known and talented for her compositions of sacred and theater music, will collaborate with her husband on recorder for their debut event.

Violin virtuoso, Volodja Balzalorsky, a noted performer from Slovenia will collaborate with American/Russian pianist, Vladislav Kovalsky, a Steinway artist, performing music of Brahms, Bloch, Skerjanc and Janacek;

joining the US team will be the distinguished American pianist and former Cultural Ambassador of the United States to Indonesia, Dr. John McArthur. He is Professor Emeritus of the Manhatten School of Music. Selections from Bellini-Liszt and an arrangement of Rachmaninoff's Vocalise by the eminent American virtuoso, Earl Wild will be heard

From Austria, Gulay and the Ensemble Aras, World Music an ensemble of 5 musicians with soprano. Gulay, will perform music from the countries of the Silk Road; .

Admission: Tickets cost $35 and $50 and can be purchased at the Carnegie Hall Box Office or online at www.carnegiehall.org

A special post concert reception is available at $80.00 per person.The price includes premiere seating and reception.
